Very late last year, we went on a venture to Sri Lanka. I have briefly mentioned this but will be doing a post in detail eventually! But today I’m cleaning out my closet (kiterally) with a sick preschooler, and I thought I’d introduce a little goodie bag I picked up whilst in Colombo.

You know I’ve always loved Korean beauty, since the second I learnt about it back in Guri – but what about Sri Lankan beauty? Well, the Lonely Planet guide book we had mentioned Spa Ceylon numerous times, and I had intentions of getting a massage at the spa. However, they were booked up so that didn’t happen – but I did discover their shop full of incredible beauty products. And hoooo boy did I let loose.

This happened over two visits, one with my friend Crystal who was familiar with their products (particularly their Sleep Balm), and another time with Gav, ostensibly to buy some presents but which turned into a little purchasing party. It happens!

First of all, this was a gift with purchase that we just hit the threshold for, and it was oh-so-cute. I do love the colourful, vibrant packaging which really rings true to Sri Lankan culture and design. So pretty! Inside was a cute little festive purse with a bunch of minis – and they smell oh-so-delicious. Strong, yes, but delicious nonetheless!

We’ve only just dipped into these so I can’t give a full review yet, but this is more of just an introduction/showing off the cuteness of these Spa Ceylon minis. Included in the set is:

Molly and I cracked into the perfumed body spray, which smells so sweet and divine. She’s a real perfume gal, so it fit the bill. We also used the hand lotion, which was rich and delicious. The scent is definitely sweeter than usual rose fragrances, but somehow less heady or cloistering for me. They’re strong scents, but beautiful.

I’m really curious about the scrub and the oil, as those are two that I’ll be able to repurchase. The Kandyan Rose line is limited edition, and it was just for the festive time so I will savour them!

Have you tried Spa Ceylon products? Let me know your faves!
