Today’s post is a little bit of a teaser: celebrating the launch of the new I’m From Rice Serum & I’m From Rice Cream that has just launched! I was lucky enough to receive a gorgeous lil’ package from Wishtrend containing the two new products, as well as their classic Rice Toner, and am very intrigued by this line.
But the reason I say it’s a teaser? Because I haven’t tried it yet! And am yet to share my true thoughts and feelings… so for now, an announcement must suffice.
I have to say, I’ve been a big fan of rice-based beauty products for a long time. Mainly, I think of the Skinfood Rice Wash Off Mask that I just used to love and rave about, and that brightened my skin to no end. It’s a fascinating thing, also, to learn about the women who used to notice their hands were brighter after washing rice. I always think about it whenever I wash my rice (seriously, I do), and it’s an interesting concept to me. Rice, who knew!?

A little bit of info on each product: the Rice Serum contains 73% rice extract, which floats my boat. It’s also rich in vitamin B and antioxidants to boost collagen production (yes please!).
The Rice Cream contains rice bran extract, which is rich in ceramide—one of my fave moisturising ingredients. It also is rich in vitamin B and E, to help contain sebum, improve skin tone and nourish the skin. When used in conjunction, both the Rice Serum and Rice Cream (not to mention the Rice Toner!) improve skin elasticity and skin tone in general.
Again, I haven’t yet tried the products myself, but I’m very keen. I also have to say, the packaging is beautiful: heavy glass, simple earthy tones and a clean aesthetic. It feels expensive, dahling. I’m quite impressed with how chic they look, and can’t wait to give them a whirl. I will, of course, report back in due time!
