My Absolutely Ludicrous Korean Beauty Haul

Hey friends,

So a few weeks back, I decided to hop on a plane and make my way to Korea. I’d missed it for too long, and it was really getting the better of me. I’m always craving Korean food (in fact, I think I might have it for lunch today), I missed the kids and my friend, and just being in that vibrant, exciting country. There’s just something about it I can’t quite put my finger on, but I just feel so good when I’m in Korea. It must be love!

Of course, seeing as I was in the home of K-beauty, it was only right that I indulged in a few products… or perhaps like, 20. But who’s counting?! It’s true, I went a little bit insane while I was there, and managed to buy an incredible amount of stuff in the mere 4 days I was there. I’m actually quite impressed with myself!

My babies! 🙂

Yep, that’s my doing!

I’m sure it won’t surprise you that the vast majority of these products are from Nature Republic, my tried-and-true fave brand. Nature Republic is my bae! I visited about three or four separate branches while I was in Korea, and each time I found something new to buy. I just didn’t stop.

I think I also have some kind of emotional attachment to Korean cosmetics or something (lol), because I felt so nostalgic there in general. The sales assistants really get involved, and overall they’re really nice and generous. I think I would love the cosmetics shops even if they ignored me, but luckily they don’t! And of course, the products are so innovative, new and cute… it’s impossible to resist.

So… I’m just going to list out everything I picked up, and perhaps y’all can tell me if you’d like me to talk about something in more detail (after I’ve used them for a while).

I’m not even going to touch on the samples I was provided, which are many and varied. This is a big part of why I love cosmetics shopping in Korea — the nonchalance with which samples are given just warms my heart. The generosity! The range! The newness!

So now, I guess the question is… where do I start?

Well, the good news is that I’ve already been using the Nature Republic CC Cushion, and I really like it. I mean, I love cushions in general (both for the face and the sofa), because they’re so lightweight and don’t make me feel like I’m wearing makeup. Which I love. I can also report that the Nature Republic micellar water is super gentle — and also huge. I don’t know how I managed to fit that bottle in my luggage but… I’m persistent!

So please do let me know if you would like to hear more about any particular product, and I’ll try bump it up my list of priorities. Bottom line is that I have the next few months worth of reviews ready and waiting!

Until next time,

Steph x
