Today I bring you the third instalment in my KL Cuisine series. This time, I am taking you to a place I literally go to every day (at least once, most often twice). And that place, dear reader, is GRAB Bangsar.
GRAB looks like a super-hipster cafe, but is run by the two nicest guys you’ll ever meet. I feel so comfortable here, which is rare for me in a trendy-looking cafe, and I credit that to the owners’ warmth. Plus, the coffee is incredible and looks like this:
Amazing, no? Honestly, the long blacks at GRAB are the best I’ve ever had (and Gav can concur). From someone who used to drink mochas errday, the fact that I drink long blacks at all is pretty crazy. However, since I’ve been milk-free, the LB has become my caffeinated drink of choice – and this one is the best, hands down.
So what does GRAB actually look like? A little summin like this:
I really love the minimalist design, it’s so calming and just makes it a nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee (or two). Everything GRAB does is done to perfection, whether it’s providing spongy, juicy cakes (Caramel Cookie Cake, anyone?) or brewing the perfect cuppa. Oh, and they actually have a little bakery station too:
While my favourite thing about GRAB is the coffee, they also do really nice food. In fact, they recently redid their menu, so that each day has a “theme” and deals. For example, Tuesday is “Croissant Day” and Friday is the holy “Pizza Day”. I actually partook of said pizza last Friday, and it was delicious and almighty:
They also do breakfast all day, and while the range is not too vast, it’s all really high quality. Gav and I also shared their Big Breakfast the other day, which looks like this:
The eggs were soft and peppery and I loved the mushrooms too. A great way to start the day!
GRAB really is minimalist both in design and execution. They don’t mess around with their menu, and they will provide only a few things – but those things will all be awesome. I love places like this, and I think you will too.
You can find GRAB at:
Unit 1-5, Ground Floor Menara UOA Bangsar
No 5 Bandar 1, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Give it a go and let me know what you think! You may just see me there too 😉
