Hey y’all!
Today I’m back with a tiny edition of Sample Sundays, featuring The Face Shop and Malin + Goetz (as you may have guessed from the title). I’ve found that recently I’ve been using up a lot of my samples, which I’m really happy about! I’m trying to make a habit of using and appreciating everything I have, so the more I can get through, the better. Plus, it just makes me feel super satisfied in a way that I can’t explain (or that possibly doesn’t even make sense).
Let’s get into it, shall we?
The Face Shop Core Seed Purifying Essence
I received five samples of this essence when I recently visited The Face Shop (reviews on those products coming tomorrow, yay!). I went to the store in Nu Sentral mall, and after having been on an accidental hiatus from Korean skincare products, it felt amazing to be surrounded by all that cosmetic-y goodness again. Also, the packaging from The Face Shop is amazing! It looks super classy for the price, and of course everything is cute… but that’s a given!
So this essence is supposed to brighten my skin and re-energise my face. While I can’t necessarily speak to that, I can tell you that this essence felt amazing on my skin. It’s really lightweight, with a gel-like consistency, and it absorbs so quickly into my skin. I love serums and essences that pack a punch without drowning my skin in product. This one definitely does that. Amazingness!
Malin + Goetz Rum Body Wash
I recently lucked into a whole lot of Malin + Goetz products from Gav’s lovely parents, and I’m really chuffed about it. We finished up this deluxe sample of the Rum Body Wash recently, and it was delicious! It’s got a sort of sweet, fruity smell (non-alcoholic, of course) and lathers up really nicely. Sometimes I can’t quite tell the difference between shower gels, as it all rinses off anyway, doesn’t it? But this one did leave my skin feeling soft as well as cleansed, plus the scent… yum.
And I’m sorry to say, that is it for this week! The good news is that I recently fell back in love with Korean skincare, and already have a lot of products to review. What can I say, I work quick! So keep a look out for a whole lotta K-reviews coming soon 🙂
I hope you had/have a lovely weekend!
