I know I talk about it a lot, but I lived in Korea for two years and loved it. Yes, it can be a bit foreign sometimes and you probably won’t understand a lot of what is going on (or is that just me?). But even though I am over here loving Malaysia, I really miss some things about my spiritual home of Korea.
So I thought I’d share them with you today!
So strap yourselves in for a good old nostalgia session to find out what I’m really yearning for over here. Of course, if you ever have any questions about Korean life, please comment and ask me! I love talking about Korea at any time and would love to hear from you ^^
Enjoy!

Awwww… well, we do have some good Korean places in Malaysia as well 🙂 I’m not really sure about Bangsar, but there are dozens of authentic Korean places in Ampang and Mont Kiara 🙂
Hehe that’s good to hear! I have discovered San Nae Deul and really want to make a second trip there ^^ I’m sure there are many more, I just need to find them! I will check these places out, thank you 🙂
I would absolutely miss the food as well. For me it would be samgyeopsal or dakkalbi or one of the many seafood dishes. Hard to pick, and hard to give up.
I blog about expat issues and life overseas as well over at bosmosis.wordpress.com and am always looking to connect with thoughtful bloggers who share that interest. Please drop by if you have a chance. Cheers, and good luck with everything!
Oh it’s been difficult! Luckily I’ve been consoling myself with lots of nasi lemak and teh tarik 😉 I’ll check your site out, thanks for commenting!
Dear Stephanie,
I am another Malaysian reader and there’s a Korean BBQ restaurant near San Nae Deul called Huo Lu Ai which serves nice (IMHO) soy sauce pork and kimchi stews/pancakes! Just a tip 😀

Hi Nicole! Thanks for your tip – there is actually a San Nae Deul near us too and I absolutely LOVE it. So authentic and delicious! Glad to hear you like Korean food too 🙂
