A little while ago, I introduced you guys to Wishtrend, a Korean beauty online store. Well, a bit after that, my first package ordered from them arrived, which is always very exciting! I’m gonna show y’all my mini haul, if that’s alright witchu!
So what did I get? I had heard so much about the Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum that I obviously had to order that, and then I also picked up some hair oils too. Have a look here:
To be specific, I ordered the C20 Serum and the Confume Argan Treament Hair Ampoule. I received two sets of samples from Chica Y Chico, and also one called Red Serum, which I really liked (see my mini review here)! The name threw me off a bit — will it make me red?! — but the actual product was awesome.
So first of all, the C20 Serum. I first heard about this from Sheryll of The Wanderlust Project, and then it became a bit of a thing on the blogs. I didn’t really get what the big deal about vitamin C in cosmetics was… but now I do. Oh yes, I do.
Vitamin C is a good thing to have in your skincare because it brightens the bejesus out of your skin. It has antioxidant properties that protects your skin from free radicals — which cause ageing. It generally improves the appearance and texture of your skin and makes you look a whole lot younger real quick.
Here it is in all its glory:
When I first applied this, I was surprised by the tingling, which was novel at first, and then slightly worrisome… but it settles down once you know how to work with it. Sheryll mixes it with her toner — I usually apply it while my toner is still wet so it blends in and softens the tingling effect.
It also smells a bit like a burnt orange, and it’s quite a strong smell at first but you get used to it. I quite like it now! Also, because it comes in a little brown glass bottle with a pipette, feel like it’s some special mysterious elixir which magically fixes my skin… which it what it pretty much is.
You can see its smooth texture here:
I’ve noticed that my skin is brighter and smoother since using this. It’s evened out my skin and I swear that my acne scars are reducing (and I used to have a lot of spots). Of course, I also do a few other things to keep my skin trouble-free, but this one has definitely made my skin a lot… better.
Onto the Confume Argan Ampoule! When I added this to my cart, I thought it was just one bottle, but it was actually a set of five. I’m not sure how I made this mistake, but I was happily surprised by it!
The set of five came packaged in a box set (of course — this is Korea, after all), and they’re all exactly the same. So now I have backup for a loooong time, and they’re perfect for travel as they are all just 15ml. Here’s a sneak peek at the oil (if you have amazing eyesight):
I’ve used this a few times now, and I’m really happy with how this oil moisturises my hair — without weighing it down. I have naturally dry hair (and a lot of it), so I’m always in need of more moisture. However, I also have fine hair, so anything too heavy makes it greasy in seconds. It’s a bit of a conundrum! But this oil seems to meet my hair halfway and leaves it shiny and healthy, without the slick factor.
Thumbs up from me!
All in all, I’m really happy with these two products and can’t wait to discover more from Wishtrend. If you would like to try these lovely products out for yourself, head over to Wishtrend now 🙂
Also, Wishtrend has a special coupon for the month of June (so you only have 3 days left!). Simply enter WISHJUNE2015 at the checkout and you will get 10% off your order (over $55). Also, any new customers get $5 off their first purchase… so yep, it’s pretty awesome!
That’s it from me, I’ll see y’all tomorrow for Sample Sundays!

I would love to try this Vitamin C20 Serum. I have an acne problem as well, along with the scarring. I might have to give this a try. 🙂
Take care, Steph! :-))
It’s amazing Theda! It might take some getting used to but it will really brighten up your skin. My acne scars have reduced a lot, and I attribute a lot of that to this wonder product. I definitely recommend it 🙂
