Hey y’all,
Look who’s back! So I obviously took a bit of a mini-hiatus… without even really trying to (#success?). No, really, I got so caught up in work one day, and thought, ‘I’ll write tomorrow,’ and then the next day I thought the same thing… and then here we are in November. Time flies, ey?
To be honest, I was getting so caught up in work, and didn’t feel like I had time to do my blog on the side. Which is crazy, because I do, but it’s funny how your mental space can become so preoccupied with other things, that it tricks you into feeling powerless. That sort of happened.
But I kept thinking about miscbliss, my baby, and thinking that I need a personal outlet. For my job, I also deal with a lot of words, and I would come home feeling drained from staring at the screen — and mostly from dealing with work politics. Oh, workplaces! I actually happen to work at an amazing workplace, but being such a #introvert, even the nicest offices are fraught with hazards if they have people in them (which offices tend to do).
So… these past few months, I’ve been workin’, and chillin’, and reminiscin’. A few weeks back, I actually went to Korea (!!!) and had an amazing time — albeit a brief one. I had honestly been missing it so so much, and it was awesome to be able to pop over and visit my friends, and to see my students. I can write a whole blog post about that, but rest assured it was amazing, and only served to reaffirm my love affair with that beautiful, electric country.
Right now, I’m sitting in my new apartment in KL (we moved down the hall… easiest move ever), and smelling the rice cooking on the stove. Yes, I’m actually trying to cook. Even I don’t believe it. We have been spending our whole time here eating out every night, which is great and all, but now… I want to challenge myself — and for me, cooking is a big challenge.
Most of all, I’m excited to have my creative outlet back. I also have so many cosmetics (mostly Korean, surprise!) that I want to review and use and enjoy. I’m really looking forward to putting all my thoughts, musings, inspiration and anything else onto this site, and interacting with you guys again. I’ve missed it.
So keep an eye out for me, and I’ll speak to y’all soon 🙂

Hello Stephanie! Welcome back!!! I haven’t purchased too many new Korean cosmetics lately, just repeats. Lol. I did get Kat Von D’s “Mi Vida Loca” eyeshadow palette, though. And…..”Take Me To Brazil” eyeshadow palette by BH Cosmetics, and……Urban Decay’s Electric Palette is on the way in the mail! [doing Happy Dance] That’s all of my newbies.

Yep. And guess what? Both the “Take Me To Brazil” and Urban Decay’s Electric palettes are scheduled to be delivered today! This is mind boggling because they just shipped off this past Saturday. I’m gonna be doing a lot of playing [with eyeshadows] tonight. Lol! 🙂
