A BIG Welcome (Back)!

Hello! Annyeong haseyo! Bonjourno! And of course, a big g’day too 🙂

Welcome back to Misc Bliss! This is my place to post about all the things I love, things that make me happy, things that inspire me and hopefully will inspire you too.  Also, I have this blog to stop me from going insane, which I think is a pretty fair reason. I am constantly juggling a million thoughts in my head and I hope to get at least 1/19299397th of these down on this virtual paper.

My first view of Seoul
My first view of Seoul

As many of you know, about eight months ago now (can you believe it?!) I up and left my beautiful hometown of Melbourne for the bright lights and lung-clogging smog of Seoul, Korea. Specifically, I am located in a satellite city called Guri, which you won’t find any information about online or anywhere else. Except that apparently 39.9% of its land is occupied by forest and it has many bus and transit lines (thanks, Wikipedia!). I do not speak the language but where I do understand how to ask for, purchase and receive an iced cafe mocha. You know, the important things!

I have had this blog running on and off for the past few years, and also recently started a separate blog for my Korean adventures. However, I like the idea of focus and honing my craft/rambling in one corner of the internet. So, voila! Here it is for y’all to see.

There will be a Life+Seoul section for my K-dramas, but also hopefully other thoughtful, non-Korea-related posts about wellbeing, health, maybe cooking (fingers crossed), beauty reviews (okay, these will be Korean related, but only because Korea has the best skin cosmetics of all time) and who knows what else. Just basically one big brain rainbow ready to be devoured!

Before I left, I was rabbiting on to many of you about my plans for a ‘vlog’. Well guess what?! That is happening too! I have been taking videos along the way and will be posting them all here for you to enjoy. I have a few to catch up on, so it will be a mishmash of past meets present. A lot has happened in the past few months so it will be fun to reflect on all of that and explain as I go :) And of course, there is much more to come!

So sit back, relax… then strap yourself in and feel the g’s! Guri-si is coming!
